Anderson Lifts Mill Rats Over Miracles 123-111

(Moncton, NB): The NBL Canada's all-time leading scorer, Anthony Anderson scored 32 points to lift a road-weary Saint John Mill Rats over the Moncton Miracles 123-111 on Saturday night at the Moncton Coliseum.
Saint John trailed at the end of of all of the first three quarters culminating in a 90-86 deficit heading into the fourth quarter in hostile territory. With the Miracles having been winners of two straight over the Mill Rats, Saint John needed a boost.
Anderson shot an efficient 13-21 from the field and also found his teammates open with 4 assists to go with 5 rebounds and 4 steals. His three point play with under a minute sealed the game for the Mill Rats.
Former Miracle, Johnny Mayhane, found his stroke and scored 22 points on 5-11 from behind the arc.
Gabe Freeman added 17 points, Doug Herring Jr 12 points and 8 assists, Corey Allmond 11 points, and Anthony Stover 10 points, 13 rebounds and 7 blocks.
Saint John improves to 10-6 while Moncton drops to 5-11.
The Mill Rats are currently 3-1 on a five-game road trip. Saint John ends the road trip in Charlottetown against the Island Storm onThursday February 11th before returning home on February 18thagainst the Orangeville A's.
