Hurricanes blow out Orangeville A’s

Halifax, (NS) – Halifax Hurricanes Basketball Club defeated the Orangeville A’s 125-89 in NBL Canada action February 14th at the Scotiabank Centre. This win makes it four in a row for the Hurricanes, the Hurricanes now have a record of 12-4, leading the Atlantic Division, and a perfect record of 4-0 in February.

Hurricanes led the Orangeville A’s at the end of the first quarter, 38-16. In the second quarter the Hurricanes outscored the A’s 31-26, and lead 69-42 at halftime. In the third quarter the Hurricanes outscored the Storm 26-22. The Hurricanes outscored the A’s 30-25 in the final quarter and the Hurricanes prevailed; The final score of the game was 125-89.


Forward, Kyle Hunt led the Hurricanes with 23 points. Forward, Mike Glover scored 21 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Guard, Shane Gibson scored 16 points. Guard, Clifford Clinkscales scored 10 points and had 10 assists. Forward, Antony Criswell scored 10 points and grabbed 8 rebounds.


Forward, Justin Moss led all scorers with 26 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Guard, Jameson Tipping scored 13 points. Guard, Rick Bodiford scored 12 points. Forward, Richard Armadi scored 11 points.


The Hurricanes will play their next 3 games at home, facing the Moncton Miracles first on Thursday, February 18th at the Scotiabank Centre.
