Hurricanes Defeat River Lions at Scotiabank Centre

Halifax, (NS) – Halifax Hurricanes Basketball Club defeated the Niagara River Lions in NBL Canada action February 26that the Scotiabank Centre. This win makes it 2 in a row for the Hurricanes and they now have a record of 14-5, leading the Atlantic Division.
Hurricanes led the River Lions at the end of the first quarter, 34-29. In the second quarter the Hurricanes outscored the River Lions 24-20, and lead 58-49 at halftime. In the third quarter the Hurricanes outscored the Storm 28-23. The Hurricanes outscored the A’s 30-21 in the final quarter and the Hurricanes prevailed; The final score of the game was 116-93.
Forward, Mike Glover led the Hurricanes with 21 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Guard, Justin Johnson scored 19 points. Guard, Shane Gibson scored 17 points. Forward, Kyle Hunt scored 15 points. Guard, Joseph Bertrand scored 14 points in his first game back from injury.
