From Player to Coach

Cavell Johnson, Head Coach of the Kitchener-Waterloo Titans, grew up knowing all about hard work and work ethic.

From Doing chores around the farm, to honing his skills on the basketball court, Cavell has never shied away from doing what it takes to succeed.

Experiences of an NCAA tournament match-up vs Georgetown to playing in several countries around the World, have all provided Cavell the many ingredients that make up his current coaching recipe.

Even though basketball has shaped his life in so many ways, it was losing his brother to suicide in 2017 that has had the biggest impact on his life. Now Coach Johnson talks to others in hopes that those who are struggling will seek the help they need.

This episode of Around The NBLC is about basketball, but it is also much more.
