After learning of LeBron’s decision to join the Philadelphia 76ers, Ramona Shelburne, from ESPN, has confirmed that Bronny will continue to be part of the Los Angeles Lakers’ roster, where for the first time in his career he won’t have the long shadow of his father nearby.

Rich Paul has confirmed in this regard that the two players are not a package deal, and that therefore Bronny will continue his career normally with the team that drafted him two years ago. Shelburne notes that the Los Angeles coaching staff is optimistic about the guard’s future after two years of work on his development, and that neither side currently has any interest in parting ways.
Bronny logged minutes in 42 games last season, though mostly in a fairly limited role. With barely 9 minutes per game, his averages barely reached 2.9 points and 1.2 assists, although he showed some growth compared with the previous season in aspects such as his outside shooting, where he posted a 38.6% success rate.
His contract with the Lakers was only partially guaranteed for the 2026-27 season, though it became fully guaranteed on June 29, confirming that the player would receive the $2.3 million agreed. A day later, LeBron announced that he was leaving the Los Angeles franchise.
