The purple and gold franchise, in pursuit of shooters, has set its sights on Thompson, and he likewise views the option of joining the legendary franchise as a great opportunity, given that he is drawn both to reuniting with Luka Doncic and to playing at home, since he spent part of his childhood in the California city and still owns a home there.
With that context, the cited outlet asserts that Klay is expected to sign with the Lakers as soon as he is cleared to play, although the Miami Heat do not lose hope of being the team that ultimately lands him.
