Trey Murphy III could have his days numbered with the New Orleans Pelicans.
According to sources close to The Athletic, the player could be traded after LeBron James’s decision, as he has not yet announced his next destination.
The aforementioned LeBron is weighing between the Warriors and Cavaliers, and recently the Joel Embiid-led Sixers have gained momentum.
Trey Murphy III, 26, has three guaranteed seasons ahead of him for a total of $87 million.
The Pelicans are said to have demanded up to three first-round picks in exchange for the player.
Last year he appeared in 66 official games with per-game averages of 21.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.8 assists.
