Chicago, New Orleans, and Milwaukee Keep an Eye on Mathurin

August 18, 2026

Bennedict Mathurin is another important player whose NBA future remains unresolved.

Teams such as the Chicago Bulls, New Orleans Pelicans, and Milwaukee Bucks would be interested in signing him, according to sources from Marc Stein.

It should be noted that the Clippers could match any offer he receives on the market as a restricted free agent, but at the moment there is no agreement of any kind.

The Angelenos acquired the guard’s rights in Ivica Zubac’s departure deal.

If he ultimately continues playing for the Angelenos, it is expected that he will assume a starting role, sharing minutes with the recently re-signed Bradley Beal.

Under Tyronn Lue’s guidance he averaged 17.4 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game.
