The New Orleans Pelicans have completed the trade involving their player Jordan Hawkins to the Memphis Grizzlies, ESPN confirmed.

In the deal the New Orleans franchise also sends Micah Peavy, a future second-round pick and a future second-round swap in exchange for AJ Johnson and the veteran Taj Gibson.

It should be noted that Hawkins was the 14th pick in the 2023 Draft after developing at UConn.

In his three years as a professional he has posted averages of 8 points and 2.3 rebounds in 174 official games.

For his part, AJ Johnson, the 23rd pick of the 2024 Draft, has spent time with the Milwaukee Bucks, the Washington Wizards, and last season wore the Dallas Mavericks uniform.

In 77 official games he has posted averages of 4.9 points in 11 minutes per game.
