Bruce Brown and James Wiseman Battle for the Final Spot

October 16, 2026

Bruce Brown and James Wiseman are contending for the final spot on the New York Knicks’ roster.

Moreover, according to the outlet SNY.com, the center would be the top favorite if they ultimately cannot shed at least one guaranteed contract.

The Knicks are scrambling at the last moment to try to unload Pâcome Dadiet, though with limited success.

Mike Brown is delighted with both Brown and Wiseman; however, there is no room for both, and they would have to part ways with at least one player.

Additionally, yesterday the waivers of Drew Eubanks due to a pectoral injury were confirmed, along with Ochai Agbaji and Tony Bradley.

Wiseman, who was the No. 2 pick in the 2020 Draft, barely appeared in four official games with the Indiana Pacers before suffering a serious injury.

His NBA numbers stand at 9 points and 5.5 rebounds in 152 official games.

Meanwhile, Bruce Brown returned to the Nuggets last season with averages of 7.9 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists across the 82 games of the regular season.
