Brandon Miller and the Charlotte Hornets have reached an agreement to extend his contract for five seasons and $209 million, his agents confirmed to ESPN.
A product of the University of Alabama and selected by the Hornets themselves with their No. 2 pick in the 2023 Draft, Miller becomes their new franchise player following the trade of LaMelo Ball this summer.
Miller and his teammate Kon Knueppel will be the backbone on which Charlotte’s new project will be built, and they have also added Naz Reid and extended the contract of his fellow guard Coby White.
Last season he appeared in 65 official games (all as a starter), posting the best averages of his NBA career.
His numbers were 20.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.3 assists and a steal per game while shooting 39% from three-point range.
