The Philadelphia 76ers have assembled a roster with an undeniable level of raw talent. Yet, winning in the NBA is also about other factors, and this is something one of the Pennsylvania squad’s veterans is quite clear on. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope has spoken about which factors might be most important for reaching success, and he has specifically highlighted the human element when assessing the team’s prospects.
“Our chemistry is going to be the most important thing for us,” the shooting guard stated. “It will be essential for us to get along, to be able to be together, and to enjoy ourselves both on the court and off it.”
In that sense, the former Grizzlies player has emphasized that all the high-quality men on the roster need to fit in well: “We have a lot of talent from the first player in the rotation down to the 12th, even to the 15th. There’s talent everywhere. So the key will be to communicate with one another, to learn each other’s tendencies, and to know how to implement all of that.”
KCP knows what he’s talking about, for with two rings to his name, few players in the NBA have as much experience in championship locker rooms. The guard was pivotal in the Lakers’ success in 2020 and the Nuggets’ in 2023, and although, at first glance, he might not arrive in these 76ers with the same on-court level of importance, he has shown that there are many other aspects that define winning teams. And it seems he intends to push Philly to work on all of them.
