The Cleveland Cavaliers have completed the trade of Dennis Schröder to the Charlotte Hornets, ESPN sources confirmed.
In the deal, the Ohio-based franchise receives Tre Mann, who could be entering the final year of his contract.
Schröder’s representative worked jointly with Cleveland’s front office with the aim of clearing his salary.
Ultimately, they found him a place with the Hornets, where he already knows president Jeff Peterson and head coach Charles Lee, aligning with him from his first stint with the Atlanta Hawks.
- Schröder: 2 years and $31 million guaranteed.
- Mann: 2 years and $16 million, with the second season being a team option.
Schröder, traded in late January from Sacramento, averaged 8.2 points, 2.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game under Kenny Atkinson.
