DeMar DeRozan Targets Denver

August 20, 2026

The Denver Nuggets have set their sights on signing veteran shooting guard DeMar DeRozan, according to journalist Chris Haynes.

The aforementioned DeRozan remains unsigned after agreeing to a contract buyout with the Sacramento Kings.

Besides the Nuggets, the Miami Heat are also interested, and notably, a possible return to the Raptors alongside Kawhi Leonard.

It is worth noting that the Colorado franchise closed last night by sending Peyton Watson to the Cavaliers in a four-team trade involving Washington Wizards and the Los Angeles Clippers.

With 223 million dollars committed for the coming season, they would only be able to offer him the veteran minimum.

In 77 games last season under head coach Doug Christie, he averaged 18.4 points, 2.9 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game.
