Optimism is spreading within the Chicago Bulls. Although it has been a quiet off-season in terms of market moves, management are convinced they will perform well in the 2026-27 NBA season; something that is explained by one of their top players, Josh Giddey, who even talks about making the playoffs.
«Obviously, it is a highly competitive conference, but I think we have a good mix of veterans, young players, players with playoff experience and players with a lot of desire to grow. I feel comfortable with what we have in the locker room. I think we have more than enough to be competitive in this league and reach the playoffs. I think it’s about giving our best every night», he emphasizes in an interview given to ClutchPoints.
While the Australian player is convinced it could be a solid season for the Bulls, he also admits that they must refine situations that cost them dearly in 2025-26.
«The more consistent we are, the better. I think that was something we struggled with last year. We went through stretches where we looked like a very good team, and then others where we didn’t. So being consistent and having a deep roster from which we can rely on different players to have various options are important things», he emphasizes.
Josh Giddey and Injuries
Lastly, Giddey bets on keeping all controllables in motion, noting that external factors such as injuries can derail the good work they may accomplish.
«Obviously, staying healthy is the first priority, but that isn’t always in our control. The time we’ve spent together during the preseason has been good for developing that chemistry and growing together. We’ll see what happens when the competition starts,» he concludes.
