Josh Green Traded to the Utah Jazz

August 29, 2026

New trade, this one starring Josh Green and with a clearly favorable beneficiary in the figure of Jonathan Kuminga, who can now finalize his signing with the Minnesota Timberwolves thanks to the salary space they have available.

According to Shams Charania of ESPN, the Wolves send Josh Green and cash to the Utah Jazz in exchange for Cody Williams and John Konchar.

Regarding the futures of the players arriving in Minneapolis, the Timberwolves are expected to keep Williams, the No. 10 pick of the 2024 draft, on the roster, while Konchar’s contract should be terminated, something they must not overlook, since the deadline to do so and defer the money owed to him is this very Saturday.

Once a two-year deal worth $12.4 million with Kuminga has been reached, Minnesota’s front office set to work finding a destination for Josh Green, whose contract is valued at $14.7 million. Finally the Jazz appeared as a business partner, wanting to add a wing capable of scoring from beyond the arc and defending. Exactly, both sides come out ahead.
