Klay Thompson will play the upcoming season with the Miami Heat.
This has been confirmed by journalist Shams Charania. The veteran shooting guard will terminate his contract with the Dallas Mavericks to sign with the Florida team for two years and $13 million.
Thompson, who had recently stated that he wanted to play for a contender, joins Pat Riley’s new project where Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bam Adebayo are waiting for him.
Once his departure from the Mavs was agreed, the Miami Heat have always been the shooting guard’s number one priority, according to sources close to the situation.
Last season he played 69 official games, averaging 12 points and 2.1 rebounds while shooting 38% from three.
