The New York Knicks have recently issued a statement making clear that, for the time being, they are pausing their respective contract extensions.
Karl-Anthony Towns has been in the news recently, as negotiations over his future extension appear to be quite far apart.
The center could sign for $277 million; however, the Knicks are offering him only $200 million.
«As a franchise, our overall focus is on preparing for the next season and delivering another year that our fans can be proud of. Accordingly, we will not negotiate contract extensions until later in the season and we will remain solely focused on the start of the season», ESPN reported.
