The Cleveland Cavaliers have completed the Peyton Watson trade in a multi-team deal stemming from the Denver Nuggets, according to ESPN.
As part of the agreement, the Nuggets receive a 2031 first-round pick via Cleveland and a 2032 second-round pick via Sacramento.
A positive development for Cleveland’s front office, which had already cleared Dennis Schröder’s contract, and now Max Strus’s, to sign Watson long-term for four additional years and $88 million.
The Clippers acquire the aforementioned Max Strus, a proven veteran in the final year of his contract, and send Cleveland a 2027 second-round pick via the Philadelphia 76ers in the deal for Johnni Broome.
And the deal doesn’t end there, as the Cavs trade Tre Mann to the Wizards and cash in exchange for Cam Whitmore.
Finally, the Capitals send Julian Reese’s two-way contract to the Nuggets, which will be waived soon.

Peyton Watson, only 23 years old, played 54 official games last season before suffering an injury, posting the best averages of his NBA career.
In 29.6 minutes per game he posted 14.6 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists while shooting 41% from three.
