Sources close to The Miami Herald have confirmed this after the outlet published images of the player wearing the team’s training gear.
Richards is left without a team after his contract with the Chicago Bulls expired.
Undoubtedly, he would be a strong addition to the Heat’s rotation, as there are currently two roster spots still available to complete the squad.
Across his time with the Phoenix Suns and the Chicago Bulls, he averaged 9.4 points and 7.6 rebounds per game.
