Santi Aldama will not be with Spain to participate in the upcoming FIBA windows ahead of the 2027 World Cup, the FEB reported.
The Dallas Mavericks player has chosen to exercise caution after undergoing surgery on his left knee last March.
However, the Canarian big man is expected to be fully recovered in time to begin the 2026 preseason with the Dallas Mavericks.
It should be recalled that Aldama was traded to the Mavs on July 2 in a deal for AJ Johnson and future draft picks.
In his five seasons donning the Grizzlies’ jersey he has averaged 10.4 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game.
