Jalen Duren remains adamant in his stance, and with Media Day just days away, the Pistons’ center has not renewed his commitment to Detroit, and it seems unlikely he will do so in the near term.
According to the latest reports, Duren has rejected an offer for 5 years and 200 million dollars guaranteed, which included a few clauses, such as a weight-management provision.
His presence at the upcoming 2026 preseason is in doubt, and so is his future with the team, as he appears far from accepting those figures. Moreover, he has not taken kindly to the idea that his new contract would include certain clauses.
Meanwhile, the Milwaukee Bucks have emerged as a potential destination via a sign-and-trade involving Myles Turner, Kevin Porter Jr., and a future first-round pick (via the Miami Heat).
In his last NBA season he posted averages of 19.5 points, 10.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 27 minutes per game.
He was an All-Star in 2026 and was also named to the NBA’s Third Team.
