Unrestricted free agent John Konchar has reached a non-guaranteed deal to play the upcoming season with the New York Knicks, ESPN reported.
Konchar has agreed to a one-year commitment at the league minimum for a player of his experience, though he will have to earn a spot on the final roster during the preseason.
He arrives as a free agent from the Minnesota Timberwolves, where he was acquired in a trade on August 29 alongside his teammate Cody Williams.
Undrafted in the 2009 Draft, he has nonetheless carved out an interesting NBA career.
He spent seven seasons with the Memphis Grizzlies, and last season he played for the Utah Jazz.
His career averages have been 4.3 points, 4 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 363 official games.
