Bad news for the Charlotte Hornets.
The North Carolina franchise has announced Kon Knueppel’s injury and that he will miss the 2026 preseason games.
Knueppel recently suffered an injury to his left hamstring during training.
It should be noted that both he and his teammate Brandon Miller have taken over the Hornets’ next generation after LaMelo Ball’s trade this summer.
Last season he was one of the standout rookies of his class and, above all, the best 3-point shooter among them.
In 81 games he posted averages of 18.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists with a 42.5% from three.
OFFICIAL: Kon Knueppel suffered a left hamstring injury and Grant Williams suffered a right hamstring injury during offseason on-court activity. Both players will miss our preseason games and be re-evaluated during the first week of the regular season.

Additionally, his teammate Grant Williams has also suffered an injury, a right hamstring injury, and will also be out for the preseason.
It will be a very important season for him, as he is entering the final year of his contract at $14 million and could become a trade asset next.
Last season he averaged 7 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game.
