Stephen Curry Weighs In on the Porzingis Case

October 23, 2026

Stephen Curry, in particular—and the Golden State Warriors as a whole—have been unable to conceal the unease that has come with turning the start of the 2026-27 season into a string of negative headlines, the leading one being that Kristaps Porzingis is not on the roster.

Although the Latvian signed his renewal with San Francisco for 2 years and 40 million euros (23 guaranteed) under the commitment to make the greatest possible effort to be available for the majority of the season, that scenario has blown up even before it began.

Back in September, when Jimmy Butler organized an event to bring the team together in San Diego, Porzingis was seen by his own teammates as distant, indifferent and uninterested, according to Anthony Slater of ESPN.

That was the first point on a jagged line that was followed by the news of his absence from training camp, two weeks without communication with Dunleavy and Celebrini, and finally the announcement that he was still recovering from the consequences of his autoimmune health issue and that he is sidelined indefinitely.

Cuesta entender tal recorrido.

Stephen Curry Does Not Hide His Sorrow
