Trendon Watford, an unrestricted free agent, will play for the New Orleans Pelicans next season.
The player has agreed to a one-year deal worth $2.9 million guaranteed, according to reporter Shams Charania.
In recent months he had been linked with a move to Europe, specifically to Valencia Basket; however, the player himself ended up denying such rumors.
Watford will continue his NBA career with the Pelicans, where he is expected to take on a significant role in the second unit.
Last season he appeared in 53 official games (7 starts) with averages of 6.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game.
