According to Shams Charania of ESPN, the French center has signed a multimillion-dollar extension with Nike, marking yet another financial windfall after he recently closed a five-year, $252 million renewal with the San Antonio Spurs.
The original Nike deal for Wembanyama was set to expire in October, and given that he emerged in negotiations as an NBA Finals finalist, an MVP candidate and Defensive Player of the Year contender, this new agreement, the terms of which have not been disclosed, appears to be well above the first one he signed. By some estimates from outlets like Forbes, we’re talking hundreds of millions. By the way, he is also an ambassador for Louis Vuitton, representing the French luxury fashion house since 2024.
